The insulation is Primaloft Silver Blend. Bluesign® Approved responsibly sourced down. The down in this jacket is sourced responsibly and has a veterinary certificate verifying that ‘No live plucking’ and ‘No force feeding’ has been used in sourced downs.
AREAS FOR DEVELOPMENT
Brothers We Stand would like to see Ecoalf investigate the use of fluorocarbon-free DWR (Durable Water Repellent) technologies. Like most brands, Ecoalf use a flourocarbon based DWR that is highly effective and durable. However due to their chemical structure, when flourocarbons get into our water system they don’t break down and persist in the environment. Suppliers are working hard to create flourocarbon-free waterproofing repellents without compromising performance or durability and we hope these can enter the market in the coming years.
