With the arrival of the Sun’s rays in the morning, photosynthesis begins. Through this process, plants take in carbon dioxide from the air and make oxygen for us all to breathe. This design is a celebration of the beauty and warmth of the morning sun and all the energy it brings to us. Idioma is a family run business with a global fan base. Designer Seth Banks and linguist Halle Banks champion World culture with unique prints on organic fabrics.

Made in Portugal
Supplier visited by the brand
Made in Portugal, a country that has functioning institutions and legislation that protect workers rights (Fair Wear Foundation). Idioma’s sweatshirt factory is also GOTS certified, a certification which includes a social component.
Seth Banks, Idioma founder, has visited the factory and shares that he observed happy and friendly staff working with state of the art facilities.
Made with organic cotton which protects the environment and also farmers who may suffer ill health when coming into contact with the intensive fertilisers and pesticides used in conventional cotton production.
In addition to this Idioma’s hoodie factory is certified by EMAS meaning environmental impact is measured and impact reduction targets are set.
As a plant-based fibre, rayon viscose - which this hoodie is embroidered with - is not inherently toxic or polluting. However the process required to turn the woody fibres into a usable fine thread is chemically intensive and can be a polluting process. (Good On You)
