Brothers notes: We love this heatwave special featuring the iconic fab, 99, twister and rocket. Designed and screen printed in Bristol on super soft Fairtrade organic cotton. It's got a unisex, regular cut.

Found Hea is based out of a shipping container on Bristol's harbourside, a couple of units down from cult burger joint Squeezed. Founder Sam Mabley sells items with good design that are also good for the makers and the planet.

areas for development

We’d like to see Found Hea’s supplier roll the Living Wage Pilot project out across all product lines they are producing at this factory. This would contribute to the goal of ensuring garment workers receive a full living wage.

Organic cotton: Grown in India (GOTS and Fairtrade certified)

Yarn: Spun in India (GOTS)

T-Shirt: Cut and sewn in Tamul Nadu, India. (Fair Wear FoundationGOTS)

Printing: Screen-printed in Bristol (Water based inks)

worker conditions

Found Hea have partnered with a sourcing agent who help emerging designers source sustainably and ethically. This t-shirt was cut and sewn in an exemplary factory in Tamul Nadu, India where the management have a commitment to ethical production at the core of their vision.

Found Hea have paid their supplier a small premium for these t-shirts which is passed on directly to workers as part of a Living Wage Pilot project. A living wage is one of the areas that the fashion industry is making slow progress on so it’s fantastic to see Found Hea participating in this pioneering initiative. At present the premium is shared equally among all workers in the factory. As the factory also produces for other brands which are not in the Living Wage Project workers do not yet receive a full living wage. Found Hea are keen for the project to be rolled out across all products produced in the factory.

environmental impact

Factory where the T-Shirt is cut and sewn is powered entirely by renewable energy (most of which comes from 30 massive wind turbines).

The use of organic cotton protects the environment and also farmers who may suffer ill health when coming into contact with the intensive fertilisers and pesticides used in conventional cotton production.
