Founded in 1999 and based in Western Turkey, Parko Textile works only with organic cotton in line with their goal to make the highest quality product and protect the environment. The factory is GOTS certified and prioritises providing a safe and welcoming place for all to work. Workers benefit from good maternity leave, a company doctor that visits 3 times a week, transport, lunch and socials events at the beach.
Knowledge Cotton Apparel have worked in Turkey for many years and develop long term partnerships with their factories there.
Planet
Organic cotton helps farmers escape the health risks and financial burden of toxic chemicals involved in conventional cotton production. It also massively benefits wider communities by maintaining (rather than draining) the local water supply and keeping it clean.
Knowledge Cotton Apparel's second and third tier suppliers (fabrics and raw materials) are based in the same geographical region as products are cut and sewn. This reduces the carbon footprint of their products compared to other fashion supply chains where inputs often cross back and forth around the world.
