Khonsu's name takes its meaning from the movement of the Moon across the night sky. Meaning 'traveller' he also had the titles "Embracer", "Pathfinder" and "Defender" as he was thought to watch over those who travel at night. The hieroglyphics spell out Khonsu in ancient Egyptian letters.
Idioma, derives its name from the Spanish for language. Phrases from around the world focusing on freedom, exploration and nature adorn Idioma’s collection and are accompanied by playful illustrations.

Made in Portugal
Supplier visited by the brand
The Khonsu sweatshirt is made in Portugal, a country that has functioning institutions and legislation that protect workers rights (Fair Wear Foundation). Idioma’s sweatshirt factory is also GOTS certified, a certification which includes a social component.
Seth Banks, Idioma founder, has visited the factory and shares that he observed happy and friendly staff working with state of the art facilities.
The Khonsu sweatshirt is made with organic cotton which protects the environment and also farmers who may suffer ill health when coming into contact with the intensive fertilisers and pesticides used in conventional cotton production.
In addition to this Idioma’s sweatshirt factory is certified by EMAS meaning environmental impact is measured and impact reduction targets are set.
