Signing labels up over the last few days has been exciting. Brand founders signing official documents makes it real. This is happening.
Apart from the strong design work, it’s the brand’s stories that really get me going. Beara Beara’s, sturdy, artisan crafted backpacks and satchels will be gracing our store come October. They are made by Julio, Maria, Cesar and their friends in small workshops in Bolivia.
The brand was formed when travel writer Jake Bullough got to know a leather bag making family in the back-streets of La Paz. Intrigued by the combination of incredible craftsmanship and quality materials, Jake began collaborating with them. Together they have created a brand that has become a bit of a hit with those in the know. Tapping into ethnic trends, I hope you’ll agree, the bags look pretty hot.
