People
Sagaraya tees are made in Barecelos, Portugal by a factory that invests in the latest production tech to produce high quality garments. The factory is audited by Global Organic Textile Standard for social compliance. Avi Dharmasiri, Sagaraya founder, has also visited the factory and reports that it is clean, organised and modern.
Sagaraya is a micro-brand which means every aspect of it can be an expression of founder Avi Dharmasiri’s creativity and values.
Planet
Sagaraya tees are cut from heavier fabric emphasising the durability and longevity of each garment.
Using a blend of recycled cotton and organic cotton, means less energy and water is required in the manufacturing process.
Organic cotton helps farmers escape the health risks and financial burden of toxic chemicals involved in conventional cotton production. It also helps wider communities by maintaining (rather than draining) the local water supply and keeping it clean.
