We popped along to the opening night of Designersblock to see our friend Saskia Buchannan yesterday. Inspired by two rusty cigar tins full of nuts and bolts that she inherited from her granddad, Saskia’s work explores the interplay between collecting and hoarding.
Open until Sunday at the Southbank Centre, Designersblock is definitely worth a visit if you’re looking for something to do over the weekend. The show brings together more than 60 designers -from students and graduates to those working in established design companies- and showcases their new furniture, textiles, ceramics, jewellery and much more.
