An iconic yet versatile style of jacket. The engineer jacket historically was only available in white but since modernised comes in a variety of colours. This jacket is a single breasted, three button jacket with a relaxed fit. This jacket is unlined with French seams. It is a family like atmosphere with everyone being celebrated for what they bring to the team. The team have been designing and manufacturing quality workwear garments at the same site for over 100 years!
Yarmouth are proud to be working with British suppliers and manufacturers where possible. Their fabrics are sourced in the UK, mostly from mills in Yorkshire and Lancashire. The navy fabric is sourced from Carrington Textiles and dyed by sister company, Pincroft Dyeing & Printing Company, located at the same premises as Carrington Textiles in Adlington, Lancashire. Carrington textiles source the cotton twill fabric from one of four suppliers in Pakistan. Senior management visit these mills and Carrington are in the process of introducing a policy where all suppliers must have some form of external social audit.
Planet
Yarmouth Oilskins make hard wearing garments that get better with age. Their philosophy is ‘buy well, buy once and then wear it to death. Every mark and repair is a story.’
Fabrics are Oeko-tex certified. This means they are free of harmful substances and safe for human health and the environment too.
Carrington Textiles fabric dyeing and finishing plant has installed one of the largest heat recovery units in Europe, enabling a saving of over 4,000 tonnes of CO2 per year. In addition through using water efficiently and recycling processes they are able to use 50% less water than many similar set-ups.
